The britisch company Psion was founded by a university professor Sir David Potter. PSION stands for "Potter Scientific Instruments Or Nothing". PSION was a leading producer of so-called Persional Digital Assistants (PDA). For PDA a special operating system "SIBO" and "EPOC" was developed.
PSION PDAs were positioning itself on the market as personal organizer. Unlike Palm computers it was provided with expanded keyboard and special leather prodection. SERIE 3 (and 5) was aimed at increasing robustness and user friendliness
